Programs

Before Anything Else, Education.

One Center, Every Stage,
Infant Through Middle School

BAE's Education Center offers a full continuum of care and education for children 6 weeks through 13 years old, all under one roof in Sacramento, CA, so your child can grow with us, and you never have to start the search over. Every program is grounded in our Reggio Emilia–inspired Inquiry Model™, with classrooms designed as a "third teacher" and learning made visible through weekly documentation.

Infant & Toddler Program
(6 weeks – 2 years)

Built on One Core Belief

Babies and toddlers flourish in a warm, responsive environment where they're free to develop at their own pace. Well-defined sleep and play areas, age-appropriate materials, and open-ended play schedules give your child room to explore safely and build their own sense of self.

Individual Needs and Service Plan

Every family receives an Individual Needs and Service Plan, created together by the family and lead teacher, covering health and safety protocols, feeding, and sleep routines. As your child grows, their plan grows with them, following them into our Toddler classrooms.

A Strong Foundation for What's Next

In our Toddler classrooms (children 12 months and up), children build on those infant-program foundations, developing fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive skills through gross-motor play, socio-dramatic play, art, and music and movement, both indoors and outdoors. Toddlers work on toilet training and self-help skills at their own pace, with no designated circle time, because we believe toddlers learn best on their own schedule. This is also where children get their earliest introduction to our growing Spanish dual language program.

Preschool Program
(2 – 4 years)

Play is at the center of everything we do in Preschool

By playing and learning together, children build social skills, language, cognitive ability, early reading and problem-solving skills, and communication, all through hands-on exploration, circle time, and outdoor discovery.

Expanded Learning

Our teachers guide children through the beginnings of shape, letter, number, and color recognition, while continuing to expand language and vocabulary. Multi-age Preschool classrooms (2–4 years) follow a consistent daily routine that includes circle time, curriculum, art, and outdoor exploration, with growing exposure to our Spanish dual language program.

Transitional Kindergarten (4 – 5 years)

The Bridge to Kindergarten

TK is the bridge between Preschool and Kindergarten, built for children who've grown out of our Preschool classrooms but aren't yet age-eligible for their local district's Kindergarten program. Children build school-readiness skills across the board: letter and word recognition (starting with their own name), early math, independence, and the confidence to navigate a classroom on their own.

Confidence Beyond the Classroom

We place strong emphasis on social-emotional skills as children learn to work through their own social settings and become confident decision-makers. TK classrooms also incorporate our Spanish dual language program and early e-learning/technology exposure. BAE's Ed. provides transportation for Universal TK students to our neighboring local district.

School-Age Program
(5 – 13 years, TK – 6th Grade)

Our School-Age Program supports children through engaging activities in a variety of school- and community-based settings, with our schedule coordinated around your local district's calendar.

Summer & Winter Break Camp

More to Explore, All Year

BAE's Ed. is open all year long, including school breaks. When your child's school is closed for summer, winter, or Thanksgiving break, we're here with a full camp program: outdoor and indoor activities, junior team leader programs, field trips, campus festivals, sports clubs, and more. Before and after care and neighboring-school transportation continue through camp sessions as well.

Growing: Spanish Dual Language Immersion

Building a Bilingual Foundation

BAE's Ed. is currently building out a full Spanish dual language immersion program, expanding on the dual-language exposure already woven into our Toddler, Preschool, and TK classrooms. Our goal is to give every child, and especially our dual-language learner families, a classroom experience that reflects and celebrates their language and culture. Ask our enrollment team for the latest on our dual language rollout.
